Drug De Addiction Treatment cum Rehabilitate center
In modern/materialistic time, life style is changing day by day. People are busy for nothing. Taking drug substances has become the status symbol of modern society. The youth so called the future parents are indulging in taking the drug substances, is the matter of great concern for future. Sonipat being nearer to the capital of the country has become the market of drug substances which are easily made available in the area. Keeping this fact in consideration, the organization with the financial assistance form Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India has been running drug de-addiction treatment cum rehabilitation center at Sonipat since the year 2004. It provides the facilities of 15 bedded hospital services of the treatment for drug addicts. Apart form their treatment, rehabilitation of the drug users is the prime motto of the project. A bend of experienced, qualified and dedicated professionals comprising of consoler, social worker, doctor, ward boys, nurses, cook etc. are employed for the smooth functioning of the project. Day to day work activities of the project is looked after by the Project Coordinator. The indoor inmates have also been served tea, breakfast, lunch and dinner from the project cost. The indoor patients are residing in a healthy environment because the center has a wide range of infrastructure. Services of yoga therapist and doctor are made available to keep them healthy. Counseling to the inmates as well as their family members are undertaken to know the reasons for being addicts. This helps to suggest the ways & means to keep the addicts far from the drug substances. Community awareness to abolish the evil is the main focus of the programs. For the purpose, IEC materials on related issues have been provided during awareness meetings, rallies and mohalla mettings. Due to the popularity of the centre, the drug addicts has been approaching the centre from Distt. Sonipat and also far flung areas of the neighboring Districts/States.
